Busy, Run Down, but still moving foward.
OK, I know if haven't really posted in a while, sorry. The truth is I haven't had a day off at Sears in over a week and I haven't been feeling to great, the pollen has been pretty bad. That hasn't really stopped me from getting some stuff done. Along with editing photos, I have been working on a design for The Feds Studio website. The design is getting there and soon I will be putting it together in flash. The new site will include an updated 'folio with larger images so you can see the photos better. The new site will also include information for videography and other services that Kate can get you for your wedding or event. I'll be shooting a two day wedding on Friday and Saturday, there will be 3 ceremonies and more, so I'll be post images next week. Luis and Chris will also be coming along doing the video, so you will have to check out his blog for a highlight video later next week.
This is all still worth it. I do it all for my fam, they are so worth it. Last week when I dropped Layla off for preschool we brought Azalea(our puppy) in for animal week. Layla got to sit in the teacher's chair and tell the other little kids all about her puppy. The kids were so excited to see and pet the dog, Yet I think Layla was happier to show her puppy off. Layla had the biggest smile on her face, this is what it's all about.

Old, New, Borrowed, blue
I got this from Joe Photos blog so thanks to him for the post. I thought I would past this on. Check out his blog and scroll down theres a great little video of a hand puppet.
Did you know...
The saying, "Something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue” is a popular rhyme that has been used since Victorian times. The "something old" represents the bond to the bride's family and her old life; "something new" represents the couple's new life together and their future hope for happiness, prosperity and success; "something borrowed" from a happily married woman is meant to impart similar happiness to the bride; and "something blue" represents fidelity and constancy.

Videographa
That's right, Videographa. As you all know we're from the Boston area and that's how we say it around here. If you've seen our business cards that's how we wrote it too(Photographa and Videographa)
OK, where was I? Oh ya Videographa. So we started The Feds Studio around my photography business and added other Wedding vendors and an in house group of videographers is part of that. Below is a highlight video from one of the first Weddings shot this year under The Feds Studio. If you would like to book Photography or Videography services head over to thefedsstudio.com and fill out the contact form.
This video was shot by Luis Ortiz, check his blog out at Luis's Blog and tell him what you think.

New Family Member
Kate has been asking for a puppy for about 10yrs now, and the kids have been asking since they learned how to speak. My response sometime in the last few years was when I'm booking more weddings we can get a puppy. While I couldn't get it past Layla any more.
Every time I left the house to shoot a Wedding she would ask if I was going on a photo shoot. Every time we would stop by the pet store she would ask me and tell everyone in the store that if Daddy does photo shoots we can get a puppy. While I've been taking on a lot more photo jobs since last fall and Layla would climb up on my lap while I was at the computer editing photos and she would say "Daddy thats a beautiful bride. Since you did a photo shoot can we get a puppy now?" Every time she said this she had the cutest little face(she always does). So Kate set out to find a puppy. She found a wonder couple(The Cummings) that was breeding their Miniture Australian Sheperd and will soon have puppies. Here is a quick intro to the new family member.

Davis' Discovery Farm
Sorry I didn't post this earlier, but here it is. On Mother's Day (Happy Mother's Day Mom and Kate, I love you) The fam and I went to Davis' Discovery Farm in Sterling, MA. This place was great. There was a petting zoo in one big enclosed field with chickens and goats roaming around and smaller pens with all kinds of animals you can go into. Davis' also has a zero level water park(no pools and no slides) with lots of sprayers and fountains, this is perfect for young kids. I was a little cool and the water park doesn't open till June(we'll be going back). In August Davis' has a huge Corn Maze everyone can try to take on. By the way, the place was clean the animals looked good and the staff was very friendly.

George and Sarah's Wedding
Yesterday Kate and I shot George and Sarah's Wedding. It was great cause I've Know the both of them for many years now and Kate has know George his whole life(since they are cousins) This was also was the first wedding where we presented an on the spot slide show (using showitweb) of about 30 images from Sarah getting ready and the ceremony, displayed at the reception. We received alot of great feed back and will be doing a slide show at pretty much all future weddings. I would post the show, yet I'm having some trouble with my site's ftp server and tech support is working to correct that. So instead here are a few photos from the slide show. Check back I will be posting the show as soon as the problem is fixed. Sorry :(

Meera and Thea: E-Session
This afternoon I had the pleasure of spending some time with Meera and Thea at Meera's Lakeside house in Pelham, NH. I'll be shooting their wedding on June 1st and 2nd. They are having three different ceremonies, A Cambodian Ceremony, an Indian Ceremony and an American Ceremony. I think Meera's Mother put it best when she said "The two of them will really be married when the day is over."
These two told me within the first 5Min's of shooting that they don't do good in front of the camera and are not mushy, I think otherwise they did great. Check the photos out for yourself.

Photo Booth
What Fun! The Photo Booth program on the computer is so fun just like the booths at the fair. I think when a person or a group gets in one everyone tries so hard to do something stupid but fun. Here is a few fun photos of us playing around with it. All I had to do is show this to Kate once and the next day she plastered her Myspace. Well I guess we all need a little fun sometime. :)
